The Center for Grieving Children

The Center for Grieving Children helps children grieving a death heal and grow through their grief, while strengthening families, communities, and professionals' understanding of how best to respond to their needs.

What did Darcy need?

Over the last 4 years, The Center for Grieving Children has quadrupled in capacity and serves 10 times more grieving youth. There is still more need, however. In the City of Philadelphia 1 in 2 children will lose a closed loved one by 18. We are dedicated to growing to meet this need. This project will help us financially plan and project how that growth will occur and enable us to ensure that no child grieves alone.

What did David have to offer?

I believe my success in my career was due to dealing with the tragedy of loosing my father from cancer at he age of 20. It made me grow up much faster than I otherwise would have. I was lucky to have him for so long compared to your clients, and would love to play some part in turning tragedy into something more positive. - Responsible for budgeting process for my organizations for the last 8 years, with budgets ranging from startups to $600MM divisions of a publicly traded organization. - Have my MBA in Finance and Strategic Management, and my BA in Accounting. Also am a Certified Management Accountant.

David is absolutely fantastic to work with. He has great interpersonal skills and drills down to the material very quickly. He can explain numbers in a very plain language way and did a great job on our project and final deliverable. We loved working with David and hope to stay connected with him!
