What did Marisa need?
ElderNet is a small non-profit with informal marketing tools that have enabled us to create enough revenue in order to operate for over 40 years. As the needs of our clients continue to grow, we will need more revenue and more volunteers in order to continue to achieve our mission yearly. This project would help us increase donors and volunteers so that we may help our community members in greatest need.

What did Kim have to offer?
I have older parents and older in-laws that are going through the process of figuring out their next steps and I am very familiar with how difficult it is to find credible information online. I think there is a need for a trusted source seniors can turn to when they are researching their options. I have worked in marketing for over 20 years, primarily at startups where I need to not only formulate strategy, but often do the hands-on work to implement the strategy. I have worked as a consultant recently with a company that developed an app that turns your iPhone into a hearing aid, and also with a company with technology to monitor activity to help older people remain independent in their own homes. The position caught my eye because I think I am uniquely qualified for it.
