What did Dena need?

While the focus of this project is Board Recruitment, we also want to institute updated policies and procedures including self-assessment. We have recruitment tools and a strategy in place, but it needs fine tuning and better organization.

What did Christine have to offer?

Years ago, I volunteered for Girls, Inc. in Orange County, California, and feel a special connection. With immense respect for the organization, it would be a privilege to serve in leading this project! Although we have witnessed increased empowerment of women and girls, there is still so much room for more. Girl Power - Brava! It is with great respect that I acknowledge the request for assistance in this regard. Too many organizations do not approach this thoughtfully, and focus more or less on putting “butts in the seats”. My coaching will help the organization identify the strengths and needs for board composition – areas of expertise, facilitation of connections, access to networks, resource development (beyond just dollars), funders’ perspectives, and diversity. I have 20 years of experience in board recruitment, on-boarding, training, and management (including regular appreciation, strategies for increasing and reinvigorating passion, & demystifying the role of the board for staff and volunteers.)
