Cairn Hill brings the transformative power of the arts to young learners in urban and multi-ethnic communities using nature, story, music and the hands-on approach inspired by Waldorf education.

What We Do

Cairn Hill was founded by three passionate educators dedicated to ensuring equitable access to quality learning opportunities for urban students. Our unique approach provides the skills-based foundation children need through a curriculum inspired both by Waldorf and Environmental Education. We seek to attract children from a range of socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds, and specialize in the education of English language learners. We have operated a number of afterschool programs in the greater Boston area since our founding in 2012. In September 2017, we opened the Cairn Hill Nature Preschool in Lynn.
