Mission

The Hawaii Rise Foundation's mission is to create opportunities for vulnerable, or moderate and low-income families, children and elderly by providing educational services, programs and support.

What We Do

The vision of Hawaii Rise Foundation is to ultimately be a vessel that connects willing and wanting Native Hawaiian individuals to a better life for themselves and their 'ohana, whatever that life looks like by offering equitable and accessible resources and support through community led resources and partnerships. The vision is to make our communities and island a better place for future generations. Hawaii Rise Foundation would love to create, build and provide a community center/community center(s), island-wide that would be a safe and welcoming place to gather and for people to receive help/resources for whatever they need ranging from educational support, professional development, cultural engagement and community networking. The community center would be available for working parents and would host an area for children to do homework, to work on school projects, and to have assistance with activities they might need help with. The center would also have an area designated towards helping to support working community members/community members who want to further their education by providing a place with a copy machine/fax machine for people to do work related/school related things and to have that extra help with getting ahead in whatever they are trying to accomplish on an educational, personal or professional level. Ideally, the community center would be a place that community members would feel safe asking for help and maximizing the resources available, which would be a great place for our community workshops to be held and for our community events to take place. We would also love to be a hub to offer scholarships to youth in our community. In 2016 we started with 1, $1000.00 scholarship and we are now awarding over 17 scholarships annually. It is our vision to one day offer hundreds of scholarships to our Native Hawaiian youth looking to advance their education and skills. We are excited about the future and honored for the opportunity to be considered for this grant, mahalo for believing in us.
