Project details

What we need
  • Designs for one piece of marketing or communications collateral (e.g., fact sheet, case study, event invitations)
  • Templates with accurate, print-ready specifications
  • Note: Please post an additional project if more than one piece of collateral is needed
What we have in place
  • We currently have strong brand messaging, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have several, skillfully curated marketing materials, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to reach more kids in Philadelphia.

The success of our organization depends on skillfully constructed marketing materials. Without your help, we cannot convey the importance of our work. Your skills will empower us to initiate a successful, fundraising summer appeal.

Group volunteering guidelines

Working as a group on Catchafire
Group projects and calls on Catchafire are a great way for you to make an impact and build stronger relationships with your team members! If you are applying to this opportunity as a group, we recommend you have one designated team lead apply for the project on your group's behalf and act as the primary point of contact with the volunteer manager. When applying, be sure you already have a team organized so that you can start the project soon after matching.
Before applying as a group:
  • Have all group members identified and ready to volunteer
  • Pick one group member to act as a team lead and point of contact with the organization
  • Identify any tools you could use to effectively collaborate together (e.g. chat, email, whiteboarding tools)

What we do

Our model is to build welcoming and fun youth writing centers in challenged neighborhoods, with a robust roster of year round programs that include:
- An after school Mighty Academy, in which elementary and middle school kids complete homework and writing projects from 3 to 6pm, four days a week.
- Themed writing workshops for elementary, middle and high school students, including Girl Power!, Building Brotherhood, Greedy Readers, Comic Books, Cursive Writing, and many, many more. Workshops range from single to multiple sessions.
- Mentorships that pair kids and professional writers in weekly sessions.
- A College Readiness Initiative that includes high school workshops, 24 session SAT prep courses, college admissions essay nights, college tours and a weekly Teen Scholars program at each location.
