Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Project details
What we need
- Development of a new website using a Content Management System (CMS)
- Training to ensure Organization's staff members can update content and manage the site post-launch
- Note: This project is for a website built with a Content Management System (CMS), such as Wordpress, Squarespace, Joomla, Drupal, or Weebly . A CMS-based website can be maintained and updated easily (no coding required!)
What we have in place
- We just completed a website audit project through Catch-a-Fire and have a detailed document with the suggested updates. We are using a Wordpress website that we think has good "bones" but are open to changing the Theme and design.
How this will help
This project will save us $16,822 , allowing us to continue to provide critical housing and supportive services to homeless families and individuals in Philadelphia.
The website is an important part of communication and marketing to help raise funds from private donors, recruit volunteers, and inform people in need about our services or refer them to other places that can help.
Project plan
Our mission
Dignity Housing's mission is to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty that confronts low-income families and individuals in the city of Philadelphia. Dignity Housing breaks the cycle of homelessness by providing quality transitional and permanent supportive housing, promoting self-sufficiency, and creating opportunities.
What we do
Anchored by case management, Dignity offers a range of services to residents- including life skills development, employment, and education services, health and wellness supports, and housing placement services (for a successful transition to permanent housing). Additionally, Dignity provides educational activities for children and youth. Upon entering Dignity, case managers assess immediate needs for livable income, food, transportation, childcare, etc. and ensure appropriate action toward meeting these needs. They connect residents with benefits and work with them to develop short-term goals and action steps with paths to long-term self-sufficiency.
For homeless families and individuals, moving into a Dignity unit is often the first time in months that they have a safe place to sleep at night, without the stress of where they will sleep tomorrow. Dignity's 58 units of housing range from efficiency apartments to three-bedroom houses. Dignity's Property Management Department cares for the properties by performing ongoing maintenance, repairs and hiring experienced contractors when needed. Dignity staff works closely with all contractors to ensure everyone follows agency protocol and that tenants receive the highest quality service. Every unit has a kitchen with standard appliances, and our Alicia's House program (for domestic violence survivors) is fully furnished
Testimonials
I am so happy with the finished product! Raunaq built us a brand new website on a new platform, clearing out all the unneeded info that was on the previous site and designed a fresh, modern website. At his suggestion, we moved to Squarespace which is so much easier to update for all of us at Dignity. Thank you!!
