Project details

What we need
  • Significant update to Organization’s existing CMS website, such as adding a new page, customizing a theme, adjusting layout, etc.
  • Smaller update to Organization's non-CMS website
Additional details

We are looking for someone experienced in developing or modifying WordPress themes and connecting them with third party platforms used for accepting donations and possibly an API into a volunteer management system in Blackbaud.

What we have in place
  • We currently have the base level requirements and design guidelines, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a project manager on our side to help guide the project, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,586 , allowing us to provide housing/shelter, case management and after school care in our programs for up to 4 families for over 5 weeks.

Our current website is very dated and does not represent the organization well. It is often the first thing that donors and other sources of funding see and we want to make sure it presents us in a much better light. We want to use the website as more of a tool in fundraising and volunteer management all so we can continue to help more homeless families get into shelter and permanent housing.

  • Volunteer Manager shares link to existing website with Professional
  • Volunteer Manager provides list of required updates to make (including sharing content or image assets, as necessary)
  • Both parties review our pro-tips for Organizations and Volunteers to ensure the project is set up for success

Milestone 1: Kick-Off Meeting
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional connect to discuss requested updates, and agree on a project timeline
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with credentials to access the website admin portal

Milestone 2: Review Updates
  • Professional makes the requested updates to the website (if available, the changes should be made in a test or development environment first)
  • Volunteer Manager reviews each update, and reports any remaining issues to the Professional

Milestone 3: Implementation of Updates
  • Professional implements updates to the live website
  • Professional troubleshoots any issues that may arise immediately after implementing changes on the live site
