Project details

What we need
  • Review of existing mission, vision and/or values
  • Analysis of the existing programs and any future plans
  • Strategic consultation surrounding the existing functions and the core needs the Organization seeks to address
  • Freshly written mission, vision & values statements
What we have in place
  • We currently have an existing mission statement, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have dedicated manager that can describe our programming, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,248 , allowing us to concentrate our efforts on developing/expanding our programming.

Financial education means different things to different individuals. One of our biggest obstacles is trying to get people to easily understand how our organization views financial education/literacy (aside from having to schedule constant meetings). This project will help us quickly convey our message (mission, vision, and values) allowing us to better recruit personnel, generate more funding sources, etc.

Our mission

Cultivating healthy financial literacy environments for underserved communities through early education, entrepreneurship opportunities, and engaged advocacy.

What we do

Develop and/or implement community-wide financial education and literacy initiatives. Our programs include:

Lemonade Day Washtenaw County (LDWC) which introduces youth to entrepreneurship as kids learn how to start, own, and operate a business-a lemonade stand!

Youth Business Fair (YBF) allows young entrepreneurs the opportunity to showcase their very own business to their local community!

740 Credit Club which helps young adults learn, establish, and repair their credit.

Fit for College which gets students and families prepared for the financial side of higher education.

Young Investors Coalition which allows youth to learn general fundamentals of day trading in a fun competitive environment.

Testimonials

Working with Elena was the best! Elena is extremely organized, knowledgeable, and easy-to-speak with which led to us crafting mission, vision, and value statements that truly embody the heart and spirit of our organization's origin story. She also assisted us in taking our organization to the next level by providing resources and assignments [yes, we had homework :) ] that allowed us to really look at our programming from a longitudinal perspective through multiple lenses. Long story short it was a pleasure working with Elena!

Mission, Vision & Values Project

Being a receiver and a conduit of powerful storytelling is sharing sacred space. I?m honored Godfrey trusted me in sharing the amazing "aha" moments and origin stories of why DCU Next Generation was started, how it evolved and the part this organization plays in the collective success of his community. I enjoyed the collaboration and conversations with Godfrey. He was open, curious, and treated our interactions like true thought-partner brainstorm sessions. Great energy and great learning for me. I look forward to seeing and hearing about all the great things DCU Next Generation is doing in their communities for families to thrive!
