Website Accessibility Audit
Website Accessibility Audit
Project details
What we need
- A list of the common issues along with the prioritization of both severity and impact of the accessibility issues found
- List of areas that do not meet the Section 508, ADA, WCAG 2.0 guidelines
- Specific recommendations to improve product accessibility their priority level (low, medium, and high priority)
- Estimated time needed to fix current compliance issues
What we have in place
- We currently have full access to our website and all databases, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have the ability to make all changes through Wordpress, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to provide listeners with additional devices to listen to programming. We try to provide our listeners with devices free of charge. This includes radios and echo dots.
As our users are visually impaired, it's very important to have a website that is accessible. Although it was built to be accessible, programs are constantly updated and changes made. I am afraid that things have not stayed as accessible as should be.

Our mission
The mission of the Georgia Radio Reading Service (GaRRS) is to improve the quality of life for every Georgian who is blind, visually-impaired, or has difficulty with the printed word. Volunteer readers from across Georgia record approximately 200 different programs each month including essential local information, local and national newspapers, popular books, and an array of magazines and quality-of-life programming. The programming is broadcast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and accessed by using a special radio, through our online webstream, by telephone, or by using a mobile app.
