Print Materials Design
Good for groups
Help NAMI Minnesota create customized visual design elements that complement written copy for printed communications and marketing materials.
Print Materials Design
Project details
What we need
- Designs for one piece of marketing or communications collateral (e.g., fact sheet, case study, event invitations)
- Templates with accurate, print-ready specifications
- Note: Please post an additional project if more than one piece of collateral is needed
Additional details
We're looking for help in creating an 8-page print newsletter template.
What we have in place
- We don't have finalized copy for this, but we have recurring sections that we'd like to feature in each issue. Using the Lorem Ipsum placeholder would work great. We are looking for a template that is easy to edit by a non-designer moving forward--one in which we can copy/paste the current issue's content into the placeholders. We would need the template file at the end of the project, and we will be submitting to our printer after we add our content (so we don't have a budget to share).
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to organize more supportive events for those who live with a mental illness. If we didn't have your help, a non-designer employee would spend A LOT of time trying to throw something together.
This newsletter shares mental health resources and information to NAMI Minnesota members in the metro area so people know how to get support and how to support others.
It helps us with mental illness education, support, and advocacy!
Group volunteering guidelines
Working as a group on Catchafire
Group projects and calls on Catchafire are a great way for you to make an impact and build stronger relationships with your team members! If you are applying to this opportunity as a group, we recommend you have one designated team lead apply for the project on your group's behalf and act as the primary point of contact with the volunteer manager. When applying, be sure you already have a team organized so that you can start the project soon after matching.
Before applying as a group:
- Have all group members identified and ready to volunteer
- Pick one group member to act as a team lead and point of contact with the organization
- Identify any tools you could use to effectively collaborate together (e.g. chat, email, whiteboarding tools)

Testimonials
Kara was wonderful to work with! She was available to discuss ideas by phone and provided a couple of layout options to choose from. She truly transformed our original newsletter layout into something inviting (and readable).
