Event Concept & Plan
Project details
What we need
- 3-5 one hour calls with an events professional covering topics like concept, general structure, logistics, and target attendees
- A written summary of topics discussed, including event concept and theme, general plan, estimated budget (optional), and articulated goals (feel free to use this template as a starting point)
- Note: This project does not include on-site event coordination or support on the day of the event
Additional details
We have 2 fundraising events planned for the fall that need to pivot to virtual. One is a run and the other is a pasta party. We are seeking help with either event or both events as time from the volunteer permits.
What we have in place
- We currently have 2 years experience with the 5K/1M and more for pasta party, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have energetic volunteers, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to survive!!! We have a very lean organization with only 1 part time employee (10 hrs/week). Doing great event will need a lot of creative thinking.
With the pandemic, our funds from membership have decreased due to more needing to request waiver from hardship. The 2 planned events are the fundraisers that are even more important now for both publicity and operating funds.
Group volunteering guidelines
Working as a group on Catchafire
Group projects and calls on Catchafire are a great way for you to make an impact and build stronger relationships with your team members! If you are applying to this opportunity as a group, we recommend you have one designated team lead apply for the project on your group's behalf and act as the primary point of contact with the volunteer manager. When applying, be sure you already have a team organized so that you can start the project soon after matching.
Before applying as a group:
- Have all group members identified and ready to volunteer
- Pick one group member to act as a team lead and point of contact with the organization
- Identify any tools you could use to effectively collaborate together (e.g. chat, email, whiteboarding tools)
