Press Release
Press Release
Project details
What we need
- 1-2 page press release that can be distributed to news outlets
Additional details
**Time-sensitive: Need quick response and 3-4 day turnaround please! :) ** Could really use help bringing narrative together and unifying the message so it "sings" and is grab-on-able by the media. Definitely need a quick brainstorming session to talk through a few things. If you have any experience with cycling events/communities, even better but not necessary. Our campaign will tie into the bicycling uptick since COVID--more bikes, fewer cars, fewer dead animals on the roads.
What we have in place
- We currently have coordinated efforts and go-ahead with partner organizations, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have pre-existing language about roadkill / wildlife-vehicle, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $13,192 , allowing us to take on a project of this magnitude, single-handedly.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 by October 6th in support of wildlife rehabilitation centers in Pennsylvania. Because we don't have any staff, this project requires mobilization of numerous volunteers across social media and multiple organizations so your support with the PR aspect is invaluable. The funds raised will directly contribute to food, medicine, supplies, round-the-clock care and nurturing of orphaned, injured and sick wildlife by skilled wildlife rehab specialists.
Project plan
Our mission
To help keep wildlife safe from crossing roads and highways in the United States and to support the rescue, rehabilitation and release of orphaned, sick and injured wildlife
What we do
We are primarily a mouthpiece (i.e. messenger!) for all things in support of wildlife preservation in the United States, with special emphasis on wildlife migration corridors, bridges and overpasses. We also partner with wildlife organizations such as wildlife rehabilitation centers like the 12 organizations we have worked with in Pennsylvania, leveraging our brand and voice to raise funds to support their much-needed efforts.
Testimonials
The first thing I want to say about Ashley is that she provided much more than was agreed-upon and asked for. Her guidance and expertise in PR and social strategy has relieved us of huge stress and human hours, and since day one I have valued her opinion on everything from brand and marketing messaging to constituent outreach. She is super responsive, proactive, easy to work with and knowledgeable. We so appreciate her contribution to our project!
Kennerly at Give Wildlife a Brake is very passionate about the project and I really felt like my ideas were valued and respected. I got a chance to really be creative and improve my own social media skills.
