Project details

What we need
  • A Membership Strategy document of 2-4 pages, including analysis of the Organization’s current membership program, step-by-step guide to a new or improved program, growth goals and creative outreach strategies
Additional details

I'm looking to change how we recruit members to give Patchwork a better financial outlook and to recognize and reward our members, both as benefactors and as artists. Currently, members receive a number of benefits; however, they might be regrouped or restructured in a way to grow funding and participation in our events.

What we have in place
  • We currently have membership data, online payment options, charity status, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a Guidestar profile, website,, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,848 , allowing us to put our energies into the mission of the guild to promote storytelling, support our tellers and teaching artists, and take care of operational costs, including promotion, PD, and community outreach.

Although Patchwork has loyal membership, many of the founding members are fading from participation and/or do not have the skills to do the behind the scenes work to keep us growing. Cultivating a new membership will aid us financially as a member-supported organization and bring in skilled volunteers or interns to complete tasks related to research, record keeping, and outreach.
This project is important to grow our people power.
