Project details

What we need
  • Setup and implementation of Google Workspace account and specific apps
  • Training for up to 5 staff on how to configure and use Google's apps
  • Note: Google Apps for Nonprofits (Google Workspace) is free for qualifying 501(c)(3) nonprofits, and includes 30GB of storage across Gmail and Google Drive
Additional details

We could also use advice in best practices for data transfer/organization, as we have been using the current system for years. I would like to make sure we are being thorough and careful in transferring data, after many years of sharing documents via our personal accounts.

What we have in place
  • I have activated Google Suite for Nonprofits for our domain but need help in planning out the best way to move forward, both in terms of the actual data transfer and for updated operations. We currently have four employees but are adding two new team members this spring, so getting it into place soon would be very helpful for the future.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,296 , allowing us to offer additional stipends to volunteers in recognition of their efforts!

It can be confusing to locate the correct files at times, and we want to ensure that in the future, files created by employees are under the purview of our organization rather than on someone's individual google account. As we continue to grow this will be immensely helpful in coordinating programmatic goals.

Our mission

The Philadelphia Orchard Project plants orchards in the city of Philadelphia that grow healthy food, green spaces and community food security.

POP works with community-based groups and volunteers to plan and plant orchards filled with useful and edible plants. POP provides the plants, trees, and training. Community organizations own, maintain, and harvest the orchards, expanding community-based food production.

Testimonials

We did not complete this project- I asked for the timeline to be moved back. I'm not sure why it was marked as completed.
