Project details

What we need
  • Assessment of existing board procedure, policy, set of guidelines, or system
  • Creation of one document outlining one procedure, policy, operations, or set of guidelines, for example: bylaws, board meeting procedure, succession planning guidelines, committee policies, board member orientation handbook, etc.
Additional details

Kids First is looking to refine its Board Operations. We are hoping to create policy, procedures, board member orientation handbook, etc as we move from working with our founding Board to recruitment of new members.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a few working documents, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have some past board members who are willing to support, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $10,298 , allowing us to support 8 STEAM education events in various parts of Michigan State, hire staff to support the efforts and pay stipends to youth participants .

We believe that good governance is key to organizational success. We are on a good path and want to continue our success but with a better plan of action for our Board. This project is vital to our progression.
