Project details

What we need
  • Final designs for a predetermined type of promotional apparel (e.g., t-shirts, hats, shorts, other swag) or merchandise (mugs, pens, tote bags, etc.) provided in the high-resolution format of the Organization's choice
  • Note: Printing and vendor sourcing is not included
Additional details

We are planning a fundraiser where we will sell branded T-shirts and laptop stickers. We have some ideas for images and quotes that reflect the work of our organization and the community that we serve, and we are looking for someone who can turn those ideas into an aesthetic product.

What we have in place
  • We currently have ideas, photos, quotes, and a brand style guide, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have other resources for content (images, quotes, etc), and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,422 , allowing us to put more money towards hiring student interns who can help lead our student engagement work in the neighborhoods.

Our Student Leadership Group, who will be leading the fundraiser, is a coalition of students dedicated to realizing the power of the UNC Student Body to connect and mobilize shared interests of Northside Neighbors. This project will help us steward student-led fundraising for the neighborhood. The goal of our student engagement work is to educate students on the history, values, and traditions of Northside (historically black community while engaging them as partners in service and advocacy.

Group volunteering guidelines

Working as a group on Catchafire
Group projects and calls on Catchafire are a great way for you to make an impact and build stronger relationships with your team members! If you are applying to this opportunity as a group, we recommend you have one designated team lead apply for the project on your group's behalf and act as the primary point of contact with the volunteer manager. When applying, be sure you already have a team organized so that you can start the project soon after matching.
Before applying as a group:
  • Have all group members identified and ready to volunteer
  • Pick one group member to act as a team lead and point of contact with the organization
  • Identify any tools you could use to effectively collaborate together (e.g. chat, email, whiteboarding tools)
