Mission

The South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association (SSMMA) is a regional municipal association, or Council of Government (COG), providing technical assistance and joint services to 45 municipalities representing a population of nearly 700,000 in southern Cook and eastern Will Counties. SSMMA has 10 professional staff who provide technical assistance and support to member communities that include thriving suburbs, struggling yet stable communities home to moderate-income families, to some of the most resource-strapped and economically distressed towns within the Chicago region. Our members are committed to eliminate racial disparities, heal racial divisions and build more equitable communities
